01 College Education
Summit Park College is a ministry of Summit Park Church in partnership with Evangel University. Through Evangel University students are offered an affordable, accredited, Christ-centered educational experience. With flexible class options taken in an online group setting and hands-on learning opportunities, Summit Park College provides you with a pathway to discover and develop into who you were created to be.
02 Personal Formation
The formation program at Summit Park College has two main focuses: spiritual formation and leadership development. With spiritual formation we take a holistic approach, guiding students to understand what it means to be a disciple of Jesus in all areas of life. You will grow in emotional, mental, physical, relational, and spiritual health, providing you with the tools, resources, and practices to pursue Jesus in every area. Additionally, this program emphasizes leadership development, aiming to cultivate students' leadership potential. This is achieved through weekly leadership courses and personalized mentoring from church community members who are working in fields related to the students’ future career aspirations.
03 Engaging Student Life
You are designed to be in relationship with others, which is why student life is a main focus at Summit Park College. Through events like the annual fall retreat, daily prayer, weekly chapel services, spring break mission trips, and student-led small groups, students have opportunities to build deep relationships. Beyond campus life, being in Kansas City offers even more chances to create memories, whether it’s exploring downtown, enjoying local coffee shops, or finding the city’s best barbecue spot.
04 Hands-On Experience
Real hands-on experiences are essential for growth and development. That’s why all students participate in hands-on experience in areas such as operations, worship, youth, kids, creative arts, discipleship, and hospitality. These diverse opportunities are designed to prepare students for the calling on their lives. In addition to hands-on experience, students are integrated into the staff of Summit Park Church, providing opportunities to engage with and learn from the church’s leadership, helping them develop as leaders themselves.
